Lovebirds is the solo project of Hamburg resident Sebastian ‘Basti’ Doering. Following 3 excellent singles on the much-respected Winding Road Records label, Lovebirds is big news right now. Labels such as Freerange and Buzzin Fly are hot on his heels, eager to sign his tracks.
Although the Lovebirds name has burst onto the scene relatively recently, Basti is no beginner in the production game. Remixed Jamiroquai 3 times, as well as Bob Sinclair, David Morales, Brandy, and many others, even winning the prestigious ‘best remixer‘ category in the 2002 German Dance Awards in the process (beating Timo Maas along the way).
I’m posting a remix so good it takes my breath away every time I play it, imagine some soul-jazz-funk-house-dnb-hiphop-syntesheizers and you’re almost there.

Miike Snow officially consists of Swedish producer duo Bloodshy & Avant plus American singer Andrew Wyatt. Their first album is now on U.S. iTunes (whole album early for $6.99), and is set to public release June 9th. However I’m not definite if it’s released in Europe at the same time. But in all cases, Miike Snow is tremendous.
Sick stylish modern pop, which will take in 2009, for that I’m definite of. Bounce over to to their myspace and have one of those digital eargasms. For those of you in need of something with a bit more attitude I’m posting two stript down and tared apart remixes from our friends in Punks Jump Up and also Potty mouth based super-world-famous-fidget-producers Crookers.

Fredrik Liiv is a DJ and music engineer from Stockholm, Sweden. Influences from his fathers old 70s instrumental vinyls, odd soundtracks, 80s synthesis, early house and techno. Big variation of styles and his many new ways of making tunes from past to present within many different genres had me really impressed.
This is his very fresh track ‘Beach Romance‘, it goes within all the influences and has a really funky house feeling wrapped in to it.

Fresh out from Labrador Records!
Are you familiar with The Radio Dept? They’ve been working on their 3rd album ‘Clinging to a scheme‘ for almost three years now. To say it’s eagerly awaited would be the understatement of the year, especially since we’ve heard most of the songs and they sound truly amazing. Anyway, enough of what’s not finished.
They’ll release the single ‘David‘ on June 24th. Every rhythm, sound and melody line on the song introduce something new to the world of The Radio Dept, cut/paste-beats and 70’s futuristic orchestra sounds echoes between the speakers whileglittering, distorted synthesizers seems to sweep through dark holes. Everything has been treated with their peculiar Radio Dept.-filter and it, naturally, sounds totally brilliant.
